Me, too. I love AR's tidbits from the Himmies.

To me, the interesting thing is that you find out how provincial you actually are.
Being from Alabama, it takes a while to get used to no fat people in Colorado.
And, though we have heard of them, I have actually seen a Liberal in my travels. We thought we had one here once---turned out he was just retarded, bless his heart.

This is a quick trip to sit with my sister while her hubbie has some unexpected surgery. My kids were upset that I was going to be gone on my birthday and wanted to know why I HAD to go. "Because that's what family does." Perhaps, that was a teaching moment, I dunno, we'll see if it resonates.

The first time I flew into Denver all I thought was " Damn, if I had done this in my teens or twenties, I never would have gone back home to Alabama". - My dad was in the Military so I had no choice about the Alabama part, but did go to high school there. My folks went to Virginia when I was in college, so I only go there to see the in-laws now.
My high school aquaintences turned out to be mostly right wing nut jobs, so your retard - liberal- "bless his heart" comment really made me inhale some diet coke at my desk just now. I am pleased to know another forumite can use the phrase correctly.
I could not find a XXL size shirt from Mtn. Sun brew-pub in Boulder because of the no fat people rule... a good stop if you like a mix of good beer and hippy smell. I went in the winter time and it smelled like good beer and feet. Still, worth the visit.

I love this Brokedown Palace and even with the patch I really prefer the up-tempo TLEO's and this one is nice. I'll be spending the afternoon with this one.

Happy travels.
